About Nish
Nish Onderrigdienste is an education centre for learners who want an alternative learning experience than the mainstream education system. Or for learners who struggle to adjust in mainstream schools.
Our educational centre stays small. Your child receives individual attention, often with only 5 or 6 learners in a class. Never more than 10.
No time is lost due to the clumsiness of a big institutions. Therefore, homework can be kept to the minimum. We work at a pace and in an atmosphere that is most suitable for your child.
Processes
Gr. 7 – 9 learners:
Your child is registered as a home school learner at the Department of Education.
From then onward the department holds you as parent/guardian responsible for the education of your child. We assist you with this from 8:15 to 13:00, Monday to Friday.
We follow a timetable that covers every subject, using the CAPS curriculum.
We keep your child’s portfolio as prescribed by the department and do all necessary assessments, including tests and examinations.
Gr. 10 – 12 learners:
For gr. 10 – 12 learners, we use the Impaq curriculum. Nish Onderrigdienste is a registered Impaq learner centre. Our registration number is H5345.
Your child must be registered separately at both Nish Onderrigdienste and Impaq. Impaq provides the government-approved curriculum, that will provide your child with a South African senior certificate. Nish Onderrigdienste will provide the tutoring.
Online registration must be done at www.impaq.co.za and linked to our centre.
